We use WSS 3.0 only - no MOSS
We have multiple sub-sites under our Home site.
We use common navigation on the top nav bar for all sites.

The error page I get doesn't help either - it just has a title "Error" and a message "An error has occurred on the server". On the client side, I run IE7 and I have Microsoft Word 2007 installed. I also tested this on a machine with Word 2003

The problem is that the workflow is ignoring the template assigned to the content type, and creating a document based on a default template entry (that I have tried to delete and been unsuccessful).
