- I have a SharePoint site with 2 zones (both accessible via internet).
The default zone is an NTLM authenticated site.
The Internet zone is an extension of the web application with Forms Authentication.
The search scope and rules have been configured such that a valid NTLM account crawls the content.
But when I search from the default zone (NTLM) i get a different no. of results

When we click on upload on document Library it takes us to upload page, if we have to upload multiple files then we have to click upload multiple file link, then it take us to Explorer view.
I need to know can be open explorer view by default when user clicks upload in document library,

Earlier I used InfoPath form for tasks and checked the status with the help of AfterPropertiesTask.ExtendedProperties. But simple task does not have ExtendedProperties . What can I do Alex.

I installed it in a VPC running Windows Server 2003 and Visual Studio 2008 beta 2. WSS Config launched and ran without errors. Enabled ASP.NET 2.0 in IIS. Browsed to localhost, logged in as admin. Site comes up and looks fine. Click to ¡°View All Content¡± then Tasks, but then click on ¡°New¡± or ¡°Actions¡± or ¡°Settings¡± ¨C they don¡¯t do anything. Home button

- Hi! I am trying to export data from datagrid to Excel. Export goes just fine, but the page I make the export from stops responding. I.E. pressing the export button again won't do anything. After reload (by pressing F5) page it works normally until the next export. I have a news site where I can post items as (article) pages. Default they are stored in the Pages library.
Every new page, needs to be published and approved before it shows (default moss functionality but actually not needed)
Setting an alert (Actions-> Alert me) on this page library works but not for the 'Change Type' : 'New items are added'.

I configured the smtp/pop server on the same server as sharepoint and verified that that works, and set the email settings in the sharepoint central administration to point to the verified smtp server. The sharepoint sites still act as if email has not been configured

- Does anybody know how to customize profile pages on My Sites, or at least know of any good resources on My Site customization We're looking to change around the overall look-and-feel of these sites, particularly the fixed profile. However, there doesn't seem to be a masterpage or page layout that controls those profile pages. Any help is much appreciated.

- The backup for my MOSS farm have gone from 40 minutes to 7 hours, since the daylight savings time change. There appears to be a pause for 1 or 2 hours at certain points during the backup. Note times below.
I have seen discussions about this on google groups, but no real solution. Just work arounds like uninstalling the DST patch 931836 and changing the MOSS servers timezone to a location that h

I can create sub sites within the top level site with out issue, however every time I try to create my site it times out. We have a product that reads and writes xlsx and it works fine with Excel 2007. We implemented this some time ago, purely using the specs (i.e. no Packaging, no SDK etc), and later, more info from the Microsoft OpenXML team.
However, when we upload one of our spreadsheets (no external references, nothing that would traditionally upset Excel Services) it deems the file as corrupt
