Any advice on what's the best practice for setting up your game to run on both PC and Xbox Even better if there could be an included example of this.
I'd like to develop my game on the PC and only running the 360 version periodically. In the past I've set up seperate builds so I'd have a release\debug versions for PC, PS2 and Xbox1.

- With the newer versions of DirectX there are several different D3DX dlls that exist. Just checking for DirectX version 9.0c is not sufficent as that version contains several revisions of the D3DX dlls. If a game ships with the April release the earlier versions of DirectX 9.0c will not work.

- Hello, Total beginner question No. 2: I've built a robot in Maya, using the scale attribute in the Attributes Editor to flip the legs, arms etc to mirror the half of the robot I'm modeling. Seems to work fine in Maya, but any objects that are exported with FBX for use in Game Studio Express load in with what looks like reverse back face culling - front face culling if you will! XNA doesn't seem to have functions for primitive creation. Thus, I am making my own. I have already made my own cube. Now I wish to make my own spheres. I'm thinking of making a geosphere instead of the normal kind since geospheres are more efficient. I presume that making a geosphere should come down to some sort of algorithm, but I cannot find anything on the net.
