- SpriteBatch.Draw(..., float layerDepth) No Longer Works For Me

- I guess that the deprecated BeginScene() used to automatically changed some device states in order to make it possible for layerDepth to work. But since that function is gone in Beta 2, I no longer know how to automatically depth order my textures. Is there a set of device states I need to be in to get this automatic sorting If not, I'll just write my own sorting code.
Thanks!

- Does BasicEffect give you control over alpha blend modes such that I can use an alpha channel
I searched on the forums and found some references to blend modes for sprite batches, but this is just for a straight up model.
I'm using a single PNG with RGB and A from photoshop, applied properly in Max as both diffuse and opacity maps, etc.
I only see the rgb channels in XNA.

- Hello, I'm experimenting with a 2D space-shooter type of game and need to implement a starfield. To that end, what is the easiest way to draw a single pixel on the screen I'd like to be able to do this using normal (positive only) display coordinates (ie: 0,0 - 1024,768). I'm not familiar with cameras/matrixes/transformations but I'm hoping I won't need all that just to do something as simple as

- I have a question about the 360 deployment. (I don't own a 360 right now, so that's why I'm asking... I'm planning on getting one this summer.) I know that you need GSE on your computer to deploy it to your 360. But once you have it on your 360, can you unplug, pick up the console, take it to someone else's home (or just disconnect it from net), and still play the game or does it require an active
