- I downloaded XNA today from microsoft after installing the VS 2005 express edition. I then watched a tutorial on how to develop pong and noticed a difference in my IDE. when i go to create a new project, i do not have the option to create "Game(XNA)". Mine says: "Game". the text below the project type window says it's an XNA 1.0 game so i clicked it. I then noticed my default g

What im trying to do is rendering a scene to a 32x32 size texture. then take this texture, and render it to the screen using a fullscreen quad. the problem is that the texture on the rendered quad has absolutely no filtering, i only see the big pixels... rendering any other texture to the quad the results are filtered with any filter i specify.. but not when i use the rendered texture.

- Okay, I need some help to figure out why some of my sprites flicker when one is on top of another.
This is dealing with Texture2D
When I am drawing and overlaying multiple sprites, certain ones appear to flicker (seems to flicker more in the white).
I am using one sprite batch to draw them, SpriteBlendMode is AlphaBlend.
The Images are png24.

- Hello Everyone. I am not designing a game but simply an industrial interface; however, you guys know 3d graphics probably the best so I wanted to bounce this off of you. I need to take user supplied data and display it in a 3d means. I am experienced in building the GUI, storing the data in a data array, etc. but I am at a bit of a loss when it comes to displaying it in this way. The data will be

- I am working on a basic 2d platform game and I've been trying to figure out a good way to work with my sprites. Currently, I have the player character using one texture. I have a row for each 'state' that the sprite may be in, ie. state 0 = standing, state 1 = running, state 2 = jumping, etc. This allows me to just multiple the state by the height of the sprite to get to the correct row. The prob

- Does anyone know if there are plans to support VS 2005 at some point There are a number of missing features in VC# Express which I have come to rely on. Most notably, Macros. My productivity is hindered in Express. I would really like to be able to use VS 2005. At the moment, I am using a custom pipeline content generator and the XNA assemblies under VS 2005. Which is a complete hack, but it does

- I am in a huge rush right now.
Between VS2003 and VS2005 they moved where you choose whether you compile in Debug or Release mode. Where is it now
I have manually added the drop-down box to the tool bar, but it's grayed out. This is extremely frustrating and critical to testing DirectX stuff.

- Hi,
So far I have figured out how to get object moving on the screen. I have also figured out how to detect colissions at the edges of the screen. However, I am having trouble figuring out how to detect the collision between two objects. Say for example, two bouncing balls in a 2D game. How can I detect the collision of this two objects I imagine it has something to do with sine and cosine

I'm doing a Game Development degree and have to choose a development framework to use for my next project. The two main choices I narrowed it down to are Quake III and XNA. I guess you would gravitate toward XNA but I notic

I read through the XNA FAQ and tried:
Running Visual C# at least once before installing XNA Game Studio
Uninstalling XNA Game Studio and making sure Visual C# isn't running when re-installing XNA
Making sure my Visual C# Express is registered before installing XNA.
None of it helps, I'm missing all of t
