- When I tried the tutorial for 3D graphics, but whenever I run it, it tells me that "Both a valid vertex shader and pixel shader (or valid effect) must be set on the device before draw operations may be performed." Can anyone tell me what's going wrong
Also, with the 2D graphics tutorial, when I run the program it tells me that the following method is "Invalid:"

- I heard that MDX2.0 was killed by XNA. That's the full story I thought MDX2.0 is part of XNA. I am a getting concerned because I like MDX and I don't want to see the end of it this early. Also I heard XNA does not support all the features that a MDX can do. Please, fill me in.

I have a cylinder (standard Primitives) made in 3dmax exported as a *.fbx file.
My question is that I would like to scale or resize the height or radius of the *.fbx (mesh) in realtime later.

CreateOffscreenPlainSurface to create surface and UpdateSurface to copy image.

- I've have created a simple scene that renders 8000 identical cubes. I know thats a lot of cubes, but I only get 4 FPS on a 2.0ghz dual core with a 7300 mobile graphics card at 640x480 with simply vertex shading and one directional light. This pc can run doom3 at 60FPS at that resolution and a program i wrote in MDX that draws about 1000 detailed spheres with specular lighting runs at over 100FPS H
