- This is not the common inability to uninstall IE 7. I have read
through many of the problems other peoples have been having trying to
uninstall certain versions of IE 7 to get the newest version. This is
not what I am trying to do.
What first started the issue was that I had installed IE 7. (Bad
choice to begin with. I am a firm supporter of Mozilla FireFox.)

- I have a page that I finally got to display properly in IE6 and Firefox. However, now it won't display properly in IE7. The page has height elements set to 100% and also has a background-color. There is an internal content div, also with 100% height and it's own background-color. When I scroll beyond the height of the window, all of a sudden, the nested div's background-color disappears and it loo

- Hi,
We're currently in an XP (pre-SP2) environment and I'm trying to find any information about the MSJVM and the upcoming DST change...
I was under the assumption that the MSJVM pulls the date-time information from the underlying Windows OS, thus a specific DST patch for the MSJVM is not needed.
Is my assumption correct Do we only need to worry about applying the DST patch to Windows its

- Hi,
Can anyone please guide me on how to use IHTMLElement2::AttachEvent() to assign event handlers for HTML elements. I'm writing a BHO which tracks the events of HTML elements. If anybody has some code snippet on this API, please do share it as it will be very useful for developers like me.
Thanks a lot in advance,

When i'm prompted to install the CAB file, it appears to work, but only one of the DLLs gets registered. (I try to create an object from javascript and I get the "Automation server can't create object" error. If I try to create an object from a class located in the second DLL, it works fine)

- Hi,
I have a requirement to show details in a div whenever i hover over a cell in a table in the page.
The problem is, there are a few dropdown-lists on the page and the dropdown-list seems to overlap the div. I have tried setting the z-index of the div to max available value. But still the issue seems to be there.

- I'm writing a HTML editor application in C++/CLI based on IE7.0 using CHTMLEditView as an MFC base class. I'm a newbie to this technology although an old hand at programming. I'm trying to detect changes in the main document after I've set contentEditable=TRUE on several attributes and typed into them. To do this, I created a class that implemented IHTMLChangeSink and bound an object of the class

- Hi, I need to add a button to the IE toolbar that displays a form. This is currently implemented by placing a registry entry in IE for running a win app exe that displays the form. But I have an issue with this. Actually, I want this to be displayed as a modal dialog, where the IE window should not get focus until the pop-up window is closed, the pop-up should always be over the IE window. Please

Their placement is fine with IE 6 but with IE 7 the controls are positioned so far to the left that they are off the screen. I have an asp Panel control positioned at left:0px and all I can see of it is a piece of the right scroll bar against the left border of the moda

Public library needs to force patrons to print preview before printing so we used to hide print buttons/menu and provide print preview button. Any registry hacks that might accomplish this thanks for any help.

- In internet Explorer 7, Modal windows created in an ActiveX developped in Delphi pop under the main browser window. It's a known bug for IE7 that claims that has a hotfix (only for VB users) that does not really work.
The only partial solution to this, as I found so far, is to:
- Create your ActiveX using the SINGLE threading model. This solves a lot of problems in IE7 including the fact tha

IE does not indent the UL. The result is that the menu does not line up correctly in IE. Does anyone know how I can correct it so it will render correctly in IE, without changing the way it renders in all other browsers
