- As far as I can figure out, this might be some kind of IE-associated bug. I have created a patch for my product, lets say it's Patch.msp We redistribute the patch through our website, and have a tool that automatically creates a zip pack. The overall zip pack includes: Patch.msp Readme.htm files. The zip pack creation has an option to include a button in the readme file that autolaunches Patch.msp

- Hi,
When a user clicks a link that opens up the "File Download" window, is it possible to detect if such a window is currently open
If it is possible, are there any way to close this window through scripting
I want to call window.close() and have the browser close regardless if the "File Download" window is currently open or not.
Thank you for the help in advance.

- Our product is suffering some pretty severe problems because of IE7. We've starting getting calls that dialog windows become hidden. We've heard this is a threading issue. We found out that the problem is actually much worse.
Modal dialogs don't seem to function correctly in IE7. You can recreate the problem using VB6 by doing this:
1. Create an ActiveX UserControl project.
