- I have a system that involves tens of thousands of mobile devices and a single .Net Windows NT service exchanging information. The communication is done via UDP - over the public internet, using CDMA or 80211.b. A custom reliable protocol has been implemented in top of the UDP. The solution is not easily expandable and virtually impossible to load balance.

- Hi,
I need to query my sql database by a name field. In T-SQL I would use "where name like '%name1%name2%nameN%'". With DLINQ I was thinking about using something like
string [] names = new string []{ "Jonh" , "Trico" , "Pir" };
var res = from a in db.Membros
select a;
foreach ( string var1 in names)

- There is a couple problems I am experiencing right now. Both related with MediaElement and the position property. 1.- I have a Slider to position the playback, the slider goes from 0 to NaturalDuration.TimeSpan.TotalMilliseconds from the MediaElement. If I position the slider at the end (the max value) the video won't position itself there, nothing happens, if it is just a little bit before that i

I would like to know about VSTO Orcas. Is there any beta version available for download. I am developing solutions using VSTO SE and I found the ribbon designer is much easier in Orcas version. So if I can get the version I can understand ribbon designing much easier.
Thanks in advance,

- I'm trying to get a WCF client-server application to work between systems behind NAT. The client and server will (when we deploy it live) each be behind their own NAT, communicating over the internet. I found this article, which seems to suggest there are problems with this scenario: http://blogs.msdn.com/drnick/archive/2006/05/01/configuring-wcf-for-nats-and-firewalls.aspx The "Addressabilit

- Microsoft,
This same issue was brought up in the following blog entry : http://www.lhotka.net/weblog/DataBindingIssueInWPFWithSolution.aspx
Sam Bent and Kevin Moore from the WPF team were given credit for a workaround.
The issue is very simple. I'm just wondering if a hot fix will be release by Microsoft so that we don't have to write our code like the workaround suggests.

I can't work this out, because my home PC is fine, but I am getting this on my work machine. I have a clean machine that I've installed VS 2005, the current Windows SDK and .NET 3.0 on. If a WPF app is running (my own or even blend) then hitting Ctrl-Alt-Delete takes around about 5-10 seconds for the dialog to appear. If I close the app, this behaviour disappears. The machine appears to

Essentially, ZipPackage.Close can fault in low disk space conditions meaning that you can't successfully Close ('Dispose') the Package. In turn, this leaves a FileStream instance lying around (internally owned by the ZipPackage), and that FileStream w
