- Using simple text of the form: Abs(a), I tried to set the offset to 4 using:
int nOffset = 4;
TestPointer tp = myRtb.Document.ContentStart.GetPositionAtOffset(nOffset, LogicalDirection .Forward);
myRtb.CaretPosition = tp;
This put me at character offset 2 instead of 4. There is a non-public data member, character offset in tp whose value is 2. That shows the problem pretty cl

- Hello. In the May 2006 CTP for VS2005 there was a neat feature when working with a DataContext to eagerly load 1:M relations like [Customer, Order], by simply tagging along the .Including(c => c.Orders) With Mars 2007 CTP on Orcas this extention method is not there anymore. After a long session with google, I finally had a look at the updated samples from Mr Calverts blog. In those updated samp

Another example is in Windows the little popup window that appears on the "install update" startup icon on the taskbar. When we startup the machine the popup window

- Hi,
I have a requirement to encrypt messages over a number of hops - hence am planning to use message security as transport security is only point to point (correct me if i can still use transport security for encryption over multiple hops). However, my company doesn't have any certificate servers so was wondering if WCF automatically encrypts/decrypts messages when they are sent/received o

- Hi,
The application I am building requires me to disable the listbox auto scroll function when user mouse down and drag on the edge of the listbox. Also when a partially visible listbox item is selected, the default behaviour is that the whole selected listbox item will be scrolled into view. I wish to disable that as well.
Any advices or hints will be appreciated. Thanks.

The N-Tier demo has finally arrived. This demo shows you how to take the server side code, basically the ServerSyncProvider along with all SyncAdapters that we build in the last demo, and expose it as a web service. On the client side, you generate a web service proxy and build a thin wrapper around it to be able to plug it into the sync agent. These steps and more are described in t

I have a need to get the remote client IP address (as we used to get in ASP.NET web services using HttpContext.Request.UserHostAddress) in a WCF service. The client cannot send this in the message. Although I am not planning to use the IP for authentication.
I am using wsHttpBinding.
Is it possible Please advise if there are any other alternatives as well.

If an XBAP is properly sandboxed on the client machine (I suppose sandboxed could mean in memory only as opposed to cached), sho
