- Hi I'm having a number of issues with the MediaElement. I've created a mediaplayer type custom control. One of the issues that actually throws and error in some cases is setting the speedRatio. Generally the exception is only raised when setting the speed ratio to some value between 01. to 1 while the media is playing. The error does not happen all the time and does not appear to be catastrophic..

1. Is ORCAS a set of extensions to VS 2005 or is it a VS 2005 replacement
2. If it is a replacement, can it co-exist with VS 2005 on the same machine

- I am trying to figure out how I can load a XAML file for a Window from its constructor, and replace the entire control tree. I am porting my application from Xamlon to WPF. In Xamlon, I call a method from the constructor that loads the XAML into a ParserContext and then sets the parent of the context to be the window.
I can load the XAML dynamically and _then_ instantiate/show the window. B

This was implemented before my time and in my opinion it turned out to be a bad idea for many reasons I don't want to get into now. Regardless, has anybod

- Hi there,
In my application, multiple tooltips are set to shown all at once. As a result, some tooltips are overlapped. I hope to solve this by attaching a mouse click event, so that when the tooltip is clicked on, it will be top most in the Z order.
I try to attach events into the tooltip but it seem not to work (the events are not fired).
Attached herewith is a toy sample.

I'm not familiar with handling binary data with SOAP, so excuse myself for probably stupid questions.
Our web service has to receive message send from a client (TIBCO - mentioned in earlier posts). I 'etherreal-ed' the message, which our web service answers with '400 - Bad Request'. I set the 'messageEncoding' to 'Mtom'. The sent SOAP message looks like:

The ListView has many items in it, and it is taking up as much height as it can (the amount it needs to display all of the items). Setting the height of the StackPanel doesn't seem to have any effect. Binding the height of the ListView to the actual height of the StackPanel appears to setup an infinite binding loop (based

- For the methods in our "service" project (business tier), is there any issue with implementing static (shared) methods over Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) If not, should we consider making those methods shared . We don't maintain any state in the objects, so it doesn't really make sense to me to instantiate an object in order to call a stateless method on that object.
