Right With the recursive call in the RETURN line, you're not going to be able to step out one call at a time.     - Little Doubt with Grids Hi Paramu, I think the best way is to update the content of the cursor / table whatsover is the recordsource for the grid based on the selection made on the grid. You can add some code to update the table (grid recordsource) in the valid event of the combobox. Hope this solves your problem. (But can you please let us know the scenario of this.     - memo file c:\...\.sct missing or invalid Looks like you have deleted the form.sct file. In VFP forms (and most other objects) keep their metadata in a set of tables. These are a DBF format with another name. For Forms it is {name_of_your_form.scx and .sct). SCX file contains the data fields and their structure. SCT contains the memo field (free text) information including the data on the properties and methods of the form. If you have deleted that file by mistake you have to restore from a backup, else the form information is lost. If the SCT file is corrupted instead of lost, there are DBF-repair utilities out there that can attempt to bring the information back. This is one of the reasons why backups, or better yet, a source control system is so important to have and use daily. Tag: about vfp9 sp2

    - SELECT-SQL vs. SET RELATION Looks like you're making progress. With respect to my suggestion, which looks like it's working, the actual field list of the subquery doesn't really matter here. What's key is the WHERE clause that says to find records that match the specified data from Table1. However, so you'll know, the field list of a query can include any expressions and the results include new fields based on those expressions. does vfp9 sp2 have bugs a month ago,I installed sp2,but when I closed the cursor (got by SQLexec() from SQL Server),the IDE opened a dialogbox containing mistakes,then the vfp9 IDE closed right away,

SP2 is still in Beta stage. By definition it is not ready and it may have bugs. That is why Beta testers install the software to report on problems they may find. Never install a Beta version in a production system and do not install a Beta unless you are prepared to test the heck out of it.
