Is there a way to change colors on wait windows so they stand out more

If you mean in VFP code, then the answer is no. Prior to Version 7.0 I bel;ieve Wait windows were coded directly in the VFP core codebut (from the help fileSmile

"Beginning with Visual FoxPro 7, core font attributes including font name, font size and font style are derived from the font characteristics specified in the Appearance tab of the Windows Display Control Panel. "

So you CAN change them but you might affect other components too and this is generally not a 'done' thing to do

I wanted to know if I could change colors through coding. Thanks! I will just change the color of the form behind the window so it is more noticeable. I tried using wav files that sound off when a wait window pops up and that does not always work.

WAIT WINDOW, although easy to use is not a Windows standard and as you see not very controllable or customizable.

I prefer to use a small VFP form which I have in my base framework where you pass a string or two and get a non-modal message of what's going on while you wait. It is a form so you can change size, font, color, position, even add an icon, animation, whatever.
