First, I'm almost entirely a code programmer, so I make little or no use of the visual tools (no use of forms). While changing from vfp6 to vfp9, some of the PCs are not displaying buttons within defined windows. The buttons still work (if you know where to find them), but they are invisible. The PCs with the problem all run Windows XP Pro 2002, Svc Pack 2. How can this be fixed

Thanks

Craig

Make Themes Property to .f.
In Visual FoxPro 9 they are enabled by default.
It might be necessary to rework some parts of your application or to disable themes.
For more info check VFP9 Help.

Re: Disappearing buttons

CetinBasoz

set talk off

Do not use commands like clear, thisform.cls

Hunt for a lockscreen = .t.

dni

You may try to change form property Themes to .F.

The others have told you to set _Screen.Themes = .F. to solve you "disappearing buttons" problem.

However, I am really curious about why you do not use the visual tools I for one, could not be nearly as productive without them. After all, there is a reason that they are called the Visual form designer and the Visual class designer.
