Hi All,

I need to do some developement to SharePoint 2007, But i couldn't find any Template to install with Visual Studio 2005. I only found the Extenssions provided by MS, but they require WSS V3 to be installed. How do you do to develop for SharePoint 2007 using VS2005

Thank you!

Hi,

Here's some information from our support team:

Here are the links to download

Windows SharePoint Services 3.0: Software Development Kit (SDK) and Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 Tools: Visual Studio 2005 Extensions:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx familyid=05e0dd12-8394-402b-8936-a07fe8afaffd&displaylang=en

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx familyid=19F21E5E-B715-4F0C-B959-8C6DCBDC1057&displaylang=en

But you need to have .Net Framework 3.0 and Windows SharePoint Services installed in your machine for both these products.

I hope this helps!

The Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 tools require WSS 3.0 to be installed, because they have a deploy option that pushes your developed "solution" to SharePoint for debugging / testing purposes. If you do not require this to happen automatically, then you should be able to get away with developing using a copy of the Microsoft.SharePoint.dll at best and the WSS 3.0 SDK. For example, a web part can be created using a Class Library project, as can a custom job definition, web page, and so forth. Good luck!
