Every couple weeks when I startup my computer, I get a BLUE SCREEN with the error message in white text relating to the driver vsdatant.sys device driver. It also says something about physical memory dump and if I continuously get this message there could be a problem. But I just restart the computer and it startups up fine. I get error message that my computer has recovered from a serious error. The error report reads as follows...

Error signature

BCCode : 10000050 BCP1 : F253303C BCP2 : 00000000 BCP3 : F2232889

BCP4 : 00000000 OSVer : 5_1_2600 SP : 2_0 Product : 768_1

Technical Information about the error report

C:\DOCUME~1\Allie\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER5448.dir00\sysdata.xml

When I try to send the report to microsoft I get the following error message...

Application not found

http://oca.microsoft.com/resredir.aspx sid=685&Bucket=0x50_vsdatant%2b21889&State=1&ID=ac9609a0-6511-495e-88da-c568a34dc3db&LCID=1033&OS=5.1.2600.2.00010300.2.0

In the event log: as a failure

TRUE VECTOR SERVICE 8/29/07 7:12 am

From what I've read I think it could have to do with Zone Alarm or VPN client. I may have tried downloading ZA at some point but it's not on my computer anymore. I just currently started using VPN.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Which kind of VPN client are you using

Google finds numerous hits related to this driver ( ). In at least some of those places, you'll find a recommendation to thoroughly remove all remainders of a previous ZoneAlarm installation. Some examples:

Interesting. If I remember correctly, some of the discussions on this blue screen error mentioned that certain Cisco solutions also install/use that particular DLL. So maybe this isn't even stricly a ZoneLabs issue.
