- SAP Hey Tantani Thank you so much for this information. I did quite a lot of research but failed at the end. These SAP training is 3,00,000 and I donĄ¯t have so much of money that I can invest in such a thing where I donĄ¯t know if i will be benefited with this training. Now my search will be to find out the companies that are looking for SAP experts and that too in which field. One more question if you donĄ¯t mind. - error -2147417851 working with VBA and Word Thanks Andy, and apologies for responding lately... Error continues. Being name with or without quotes, there are no changes. Process happens in a complex environment: It is a Citrix server being called by a remote client. Processes occurs at server side; Word is configured at server side. It should be complex to determine where is the problem (C/S). But a great advise should be to know what #@! the -2147417851 error means. I have translated it to hex values, but I canĄ¯t locate a corresponding error at all. I anyone knows where locate an error list for such vba erros, It should be great. - Fine-tuning VBA code Dear all, I hope someone is able to help me with this one. I'm using Excel 2007 to import large text files using VBA code. In the text file I'll tell you a bit more about in a moment, the the first column of numbers are longitude, the second latitude and from there on, data point values. The first problem is that when a very small number is encountered (e.g. 4.2321E-02) in the text file, upon import to Excel, the 'number' is imported into the correct cell, yet the E-02 is put into the adjacent cell, causing the number to be split up - this also causes subsequent values to be shifted one cell further along than they should be. I was wondering therefore if there's a way of keeping the E-02 attached to the end of the number. I've noticed that in the text file sometimes there is a space between the number and the E-x part (most often for the latitude and longitude values) with often no space for the data point values. Any suggestions are of course welcome on how to get round this! The second problem is a bit of an odd one. Upon import of the data, the final cell of each row and positions in the dataset where there is meant to be no value (ie. a blank cell), a question mark in a box appears (this doesn't appear in the text file). I'm wondering whether this is meant to be some kind of carriage-return marker or something akin to this. Anyway, I thought it would be easy to remove, just using find and replace to make the cell blank once more - however, as this isn't a text character, it won't let me copy and paste it into the find/replace box. So I'm a little confused how to get rid of this. Each text file is around 300MB (told you it was a large import!), so I've uploaded a smaller sample one to www.megaupload.com in case you need to have a look - it's still quite big mind you. - Problem saving to spreadsheet with Macros in 1 column I am displaying info in a DataGridView from a spreadsheet that is then altered using buttons by the user. The spareadsheet is then saved back to the spreadsheet using another button. All this is working fine - no probs. Problem is that there is a Macro in all of the cells in 1 column that keeps a running total by using the cell comment to store a value to stop circular reference problems. The info saves back into this cell from VB but the macro seems to not work properly in that only the last value saved it shown. My web page running on the same web server with WSS v3.0 beta2 and trying to use the WSS OM to retrieve some data from root site. But it fails with the message: The Web Application at could not be found. Verify that you have typed the URL correctly. If the URL should be serving existing content, the system administrator may need to add a new request URL mapping to the intended application. I worte simple console application. It runs Ok without any problems and failures. It seems that this problem is accuring only in web applications. I have hard coded IP on my computer and I've done all stuff, discribed in that MSDN article with mapping virtual server name to IP. It doesn't seem that problem with users rights and impersonation. - Office Communicator 2005 sign-in name, auto populate after install somehow? I've found a way to do this.. Basically when the client gets installed.. I have a batch file.. It pulls the email address from AD and then uses that to create the registry entry for the sign in name.. - Configuration Failed Hi. I'm also getting this error while trying to fix SharePoint Portal 2007. A little background about what I did: 1) I wanted to uninstall SharePoint from a web site (or webapplication, whatever) 2) I clicked it and immediately realized i was uninstalling from the Administration Page rather than from the other site i wanted. 3) It was too late. 4) I tried running the SharePoint products and Technologies Configuration Wizard to fix it. Several attempts did not seem to make any difference 5) I un-installed the admin page from my 2 web front ends, and also from my Job/Index server 6) I then deleted the IIS SharePoint v3 admin page and the corresponding folder (after backing it up) 7) I tried running SharePoint Products and Technologies Configuration Wizard again. 8) It runs through most of it and then failes with that error message. How about save document as in C:\Export\, then, open up your origianl code document, then close the Exported document and invoke delete from the orignal document But the easies way is to Creat a new workspace document when user opens your program. When user is done. Your program can then to whatever it wants and save the workspace and email and delete. Like yourCodeDocument.doc creates a new Temp.doc, save Temp.doc, email Temp.doc, and delete Temp.doc. Basically your code will affect external document, not itself. - WER wish list for developers 8-) > Clearly we (Microsoft) need to provide a solution for developers to locally redirect > and access crash dumps in early development! Not just in early development. Imagine the following scenario: A customer finds a problem in my software which leads to a crash. He calls our support folks and wants a fix yesterday. Because the problem is not readily reproducible, support asks him for the crashdump data. The customer goes to an easily discoverable directory where crashdump data are sorted by application/crashing module, and sends the crashdump to our support group via email, and they can then analyse it and/or forward it to development. From crash to fix development in 10 minutes! Alternatively, what if WER provided options to the user to send their crash data to the software vendor rather than to Microsoft The software vendor would then set up their own (small-scale) equivalent of Microsoft's Watson servers, and could configure them to operate in " eager" mode (always send crashdump data no matter what). Yet another alternative: If the Watson/Winqual process didn't take as long as it does today, that would also help to deal with such situations. Customer runs app, app crashes, app reports to Microsoft, crash data appear on Winqual 10 minutes later - instead of four days or a week later. For illustration: To test our WER code, I provoked some crashes on Friday, and today (Tuesday), I still don't see any results on Winqual. This kind of turnaround time is pretty much hopeless, frankly. While I love the ideas you presented, such as improved IDE integration etc., I'd rather see the current process fixed first. A late merry christmas back to you Derek, and to all the other experts in this forum such as ADG, duckthing etc who have exponentially increased my knowledge off VBA in Access and have helped me with my new system.
