I am testing the process of removing indents from headings. I created a manual tab indent (pressed Tab and created an indent for the heading text). Now I want to remove this indent by code. I tried the following:

oPara.Outdent

oPara.TabIndent(-1)

oPara.TabStops.ClearAll

The above codes were tried individually and collectively. I was not able to clear the indent created.

Howeve, if I create an indent by pressing the 'Indent' icon on the menu bar, I could clear it by oPara.Outdent.

If I create an indent by code e.g. oPara.TabIndent(1), I could clear it by the code oPara.TabIndent(-1).

Can anyone suggest how best I can remove a manually created Tab indent by code

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

if it is just a typed character would you not need to remove that character.

What do you get if you turn the macro recorder on whilst applying the manual tab

I think that I have not explained the situation regarding this query.

Yes, if I applied the tab indent manually, I do not want to remove it. But I am finding similar indents in the generated documents from Acrobat. The generated tab indent could only be removed by manually applying the Backspace. This appears mostly in heading text. In a 60-page document, if I have many tab indents, I would like to remove them by writing a code while formatting the document.

If they are just tabs can you not use find/replace. Although I not sure how you would determine your tabs from the acrobat ones
