Hi,

If I am running a VBA program in MS Access 2003 that has a programming error such as an infinite loop, is there a way to abort the program without killing Access from the task manager (and losing any unsaved changes)

Hi,

Does CTRL+Break work

I don't know your application, but you should include some mechanism to avoid infinite loops. You can count how many loops have been run and include a "Exit Do" or "Exit For".

You can also try this technique: http://www.mvps.org/access/api/api0030.htm

I thought CTRL+Break would work also, but it doesn't on my laptop. Have you got that to work before

CTRL+Break will work at design time, or even at runtime to stop queries and reports.
