Hi

The following code worked for me

Code Snippet
Set objExcel = CreateObject("Excel.Application")
objExcel.Visible = True
objExcel.Quit
Set objExcel = Nothing

I even tried putting a breakpoint on the Quit, creating a Workbook in the version of Excel and getting part the way through an edit before continuing. In this case I got a warning message saying the Workbook was busy.

What "state" is Excel in

Hi

I have found this problem also. If you have any unsaved workbooks open excel stays in the task manager. Make sure that you close all workbooks that you have opened before you quit.
