    - referenced memory error hello people. can someone help me. My computer displays an error saying instruction at "0x269e7875" refernced memory at "0x269e7875". The memory could not be "read". Click ok to terminate the program. And I cannot switch from one user to another. I can log-off from windows and switch user.     - Visual Basic Code Corrupted? Hi, I have been having several problems on a complicated excel spreadheet that I have been developing, that have led me to believe that the file i am working on has been corrupted. The problems started when I switched PC's that I used for developing (i.e. was given a slower PC to work on). Since then, I have been having all sorts of problems with my macros. Now, even when I open the file on other, faster machines, the results are still unstable, with features that were previously working normally still not working. Is it possible that the PC that I switched to has somehow corrupted the compiled VBA code stored in the excel file For example, a simple procedure that hides some columns on a sheet when a value is changed is not working. However, when I duplicate the exact same code, and trigger it when a different value on the sheet changes, the new procedure works. (The old procedure has a problem with activating the sheet on which to hide the columns). As the code is exactly the ame, could it be that the already complied VBA code in the excel file is corrupt Many thanks for any help! Tag: Excel status loader/counter?

    - Removing "Trial Version" from Web Components on SharePoint web sites Hello, I would like to remove the "Trial Version" as stated above. I used CSS but then other part disappear as well so this is not an option. Then I tried JavaScript but wasn't working either. Question: is it somehow possible to do it with JavaScript (I have only limited scripting capabilities). Or can I directly access the template that creates the different sharepoint web sites for my purposes I would appreciate advice on this matter and thank you for your attention.     - Finding Quartiles From 2 Dimensional Array Using Excel's Quartile Function Greetings Everyone: I am trying to use Excel's Quartile Function in VBE to find the quartiles in the Columns of a 2 dimensional array. I am having trouble getting my mind around this, I think due to the fact that I do not know how to define each column as a range so that it can be used in the Excel Quartile Function in the form =Quartile(Range, 1), where 1 is the first quartile in the range. Is there a way to find the quartiles in a 2 dimensional array using this function on the range in the array of say (1,1:5,1) Or more broadly, how do I find the quartiles in the columns of a 2 dimensional array Thanks if advance for any help or ideas.     - Assigning text box input to cells I have two problems. here is the first; In Excel I have a userform that prompts the user to enter values in text boxes. I then assign the values entered in the text boxes to various cells as follows; Range("B8").Value = TextBox1.Value Is there a more correct way of doing this I am not sure if I should be using Range. OK, here is my next problem; The userform is presented by a Do While loop so the user can enter a second, third, fourth etc etc set of values. Each time they enter set of values I want to increment the row number where they are copied to. Thus I need a counter variable to represent the row number. How do I incorporate this into the statement that copies the value from the text box to the cell I am guessing it is something like; Range("rowCounter8").Value = TextBox1.Value rowCounter = rowCounter + 1 Any ideas Tag: Excel status loader/counter?

    - *** How can I add module code to a specific module? *** NEED HELP !!!! Hi, I am currently working on an Excel Workbook where I have added a brand new code module called "Calculations2007". This module (*.bas) file contains several new functions. I have been searching on the web on how to deploy this new module in my workbook to a group of production workbooks. Basically I need this new code to get to production. I have gotten to a point where I know how to write the functions out. But it always creates a module called "Module1" and with my functions in it.     - ListBox.AddItem drops value for last column if semicolon is in data Hi, I am using a ListBox in MS Access 2003 with multiple columns that may have commas or semicolons are part of the data. I understand that when using the AddItem method that I need to use double quotes to surround the data before delimiting the values with semicolons. The problem is that when a semicolon exists inside a value, the ListBox drops the last column. Example: Code Block Dim strRowItem As String strRowItem = """" & "one;one" & """;""" & "two" & """;""" & "three" & """" List1.RowSourceType = "Value List" List1.ColumnCount = 3 List1.RowSource = "" List1.AddItem strRowItem In this case, the example row in the ListBox List1 will have "one;one" in the first column, "two" in the second column, and the third column is blank (and any subsequent AddItems will be off by one because it will start with the first empty column). I played with it a little bit and discovered that this behavior does not happen with commas, just semicolons.     - Problem to activate server in live communications server 2005 I have just installed Live Communications Server 2005 Standard . I have a seperate server as a Domain Controller. When I followed all the steps during installation, no errors show up. Also, the HTML log files only display green 'success' items. However, when I activate server the HTML log files show me this error 0x80072030 There is no such object on the server. , and i can’t activate the server.     - Add a customized Tab in Communicator 2005 Hi, i'm trying to add a new customized tab in Communicator 2005 to show an html page, i have a document titled "Planning and Deployment" which somehow explains how to do this... I tried to add a new entry on the registry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Communicator called "TabURL" and also under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Communicator with the same name which points to a local xml file that describes the tags for the new tab i want to add... i have restarted communicator, even my pc, but it doesn't seem to work... Communicator doesn't take care about this configuration, so my tab is not displayed. Anyone have more detalis on this Here is a copy of the xml file i'm using.     - Are these valid bucket ids ? Hi Jason, Saar, The reports at my end is having following bucket id : 456012092, 455976259, 455999458, 49984945. But these reports are not available in Winqual - atleast I can't see when I log in to Winqual. One of them is as old as 6 days. Others are one day. There are two series and the number of categories varies depending on the data. What I'd like to do is display the total for the entire chart.     - populate listbox with data from a table, depending on what's in another listbox i am using MS Access v6, and am desperate. i have posted this everywhere and no one has a answer. i have done many searches, and tried many things. i hope this is even doable. i need to query a table, but only where a field in the table equals a field in a listbox.column(2) I have 2 listboxes, the first has a list of parent categories, the second has a list of subcategories. i need to click the parent cat listbox to populate it's subcats in the 2nd listbox, but am having issues with the Row Source for the subcat listbox. i wrote this for the subcat listbox's Row Source: SELECT expense_categories.expense_cat_name, expense_categories.expense_cat_desc, expense_categories.expense_cat_id, expense_categories.expense_cat_parent_id FROM expense_categories WHERE expense_categories.expense_cat_parent_id=Me.ExpenseCatParent_list.Column(2); but a box keeps coming up saying (verbatim) "undefined function 'Me.ExpenseCatParent_list' in expression" Me.ExpenseCatParent_list is the name of the parent listbox, and i think it has something to do with the parenthesis, but not sure. in the end, i should be able to click a row (category) in the parent listbox, and i'll be able to see the subcategories of that row in the 2nd listbox. can anyone provide an idea on how i can achieve what i need thanks in advance, -mondego Tag: Excel status loader/counter?

Hey,

Not quite sure how to word this but what i'm looking for is like some sort of preloader or egg timer style graphic or percentage counter to display when my function is running to indicate to users the current progress. The function i'm running takes up to 3 mins to calculate so wanted to be able to show users that the program hasn't froze etc.

[EDIT] Sorry just to update, i now know how to show the egg timer etc using application.cursor=XLwait but i would be interested to know if a percentage bar can be displayed Thanks
