Hello all,

Is it possible to kill a thread inside a process without killing the whole process

From what I understand, ProcessThread's are operating system threads that a collection (ProcessThreadCollection) of which can be associated with a process. It is also my understanding that explorer.exe for instance is such a process that can spawn many threads. I would like to kill one of those threads. The .Dispose() is running but it's not really doing anything from what I can tell.

Cheers.

Ok guys and girls, I've found code that enables me to get a handle on the window (an integer hWnd). How can I use that to close a window Thanks.

Hello everybody,

Well I wasn't able to kill a thread inside a process and would still love to know how to do that, but I got the job done by using the Windows API to get a handle to the window (not process) I wanted closed and posting a close message to it.

Here are some useful links. Cheers.
