Hi, Here i am working with windows application by using VB.NET .Here in my application i am adding some image files in my application directory like "BIN"folder. Here from this i am binding hte image to imageviewer control in my form. Here while closing my scans fom i need to delete all the image files from my BIN directory. For this I am deleting the all added images from the bin directory. while doing this i am getting this message like "The Process cannot access the file "D:\xxxxxxxxxx" Because it is being used by another Process " Why this error is coming and how can i rectify this and how can i delete all temporarly added images from my BIN folder.     - Buggiest world I ever lived in! I'm attaching a link to a video I made last night. I have been having trouble with components disappearing and then I figured it out. If I ctrl click more than 1 component at once the wonderful system we call Visual Studio randomly deletes other things that are not selected. Then today I had a control that was behind another one and clicked it, right clicked and told it to move to front. This was on a tab control. I then moved back to the first tab to review something there, and all my controls were gone from the tab. This was really cool though, They weren't deleted this time, they were somehow, behind the tab control itself. Still associated with it though... How do you guys use this pile of *** on a daily bases I've only been in it for a few weeks and already want to kill myself... Hi, not sure if this is the correct forum, but here goes: My VS2005 VB application uses excel interop 11.0 library to communicate with excel 2003. In the publish settings I have interop.dll as a required prerequisite (auto). The problem I'm having is that some users naturally have different versions of excel & I'm not sure how to get over this. The application will not run without the assemblies - it gives an error: "The application requires that assembly ...interop excel version 11.0.0.0 be installed in the GAC first". Where they have excel 2003 it's a simple matter of running O2003PIA.msi, but I now have users with 2002 & 2007. Everyone has autorecover turned on, correct Tools | Options | Environment | AutoRecover | AutoRecover checkbox is ticked. Are you seeing autorecover fail with all of your projects, or are you just seeing it fail on new projects that you haven't saved to a particular location yet If the latter is the case, this was by (bad) design in VS2005. I'm fixing this for VS Orcas (the next release of Visual Studio), but unfortunately because the changes required to support this are non-trivial, it's unlikely that you'll see this fixed in VS2005. Does autorecover only fail for VB projects You can test this out by creating a new C++ project, modifying one file, and letting it sit for a few minutes, and then checking under the My Documents\Visual Studio 2005\Backup Files\<Project name> directory.     - Repositioning Controls in a Scrolled View I managed to get it working (thanks again!), however I'm running into an issue when trying to create an array of List (Of DGVs) - one for each TabPage. I keep getting a Object Ref Null error on the list. It worked fine when I used it for one TabPage, and I just modified it such that Dim myList() As List (Of DataGridView) and ReDim Preserve myList(#oftabpages-1) each time I add a new tabpage. The first call to myList(currentabindex) gives me an "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." error.     - Horizontal Scroll Position Changes I have a user control with a Panel. At runtime I add some ListViews to Panel.Controls. (I have to add them in the reverse order that I want them to display. Is this normal ) I add a splitter between each of the ListViews, and all the controls are Dock.Left. After the controls are added, I change the width of the Panel so that it is about twice the width required to display the ListViews. This is so the user can change the width of individual ListViews. The problem I have is that when the form is first opened, the Panel is scrolled such that the last control -- actually the first added but the last in the sense that it is the right-most control -- is visible. If I scroll the panel so that the last control is no longer visible, then cause the form to lose focus, upon regaining focus the panel scrolls so that the last control is once again visible. What I would really like is for the Panel's Horizontal scrollbar to start at it's left-most position, and then stay whereever the user puts it thereafer, even after focus changes for the form.     - VB Active X DLL fail on 64 bit while we use through VB script The WOW allows you to run 32 bit apps on a 64 bit box. However as a DLL Is in-process this requires that the application and the class libraries(DLL's) be of the same bitness as they will be brought into the same memory space. If you compile you application for x86 , it will run perfectly happy on a 2003 using WOW because the ActiveX is 32 bit and the Application is 32 bit and they are both in the same process space. On a 64-bit version of Microsoft Windows, it is possible to run 32-bit applications using the WOW64 emulator. However, processes can only be 32-bit or 64-bit. You cannot have a process that runs both. A DLL will run in the process space of your application. As both have to be the same bitness and you ActiveX is 32 bit, this means your app also has to be 32 bit. There is a definately a 64 bit command line compiler for VB in 2005, it is installed as part of the 64 bit framework. That said, the 32 bit compiler can generate x64 code. There is no however no 64 bit version of Visual Studio, so edit and continue doesnt work on 64 bit machine when compiling Neutral or x64. However if you target x86 then edit and continue works just fine. There are 2 compilers on a machine, 3 for 64 bit. MSVB7.dll is used by visual studio (this is 32 bit only), and VBC.exe which reside in the framework folders - there will be 2 (1 32 bit and 1 64 bit) for a 64 bit OS with 64 bit framework installed. These are command line driven compilers. Bother have a targetplatform switch which allows you to compile apps for a different processor (so 32 bit can produce x86/x64/ia64/IL Neutral code and the 64 bit product can product x86/x64/ia64/IL Neutral code) The reason for you problem is Activex is based on COM technology and these are native code compiled for a specific processor. The default for .NET is .IL Neutral which is JIT Compiled at runtime for the processor architecture of the machine running the app. Except when COM Interop is involved in which case you have a dependency upon the COM components. No Idea on vb6 activex DLLS in sql 2005 integration services. Tag: Get print tray media

We print most of our documents to plain paper, but have some that must print to perforated paper. We have the bins for the perforated paper set to a type of "pre-punched" to differentiate. (this setting is similar to setting one bin to letterhead). How do I get that media type setting for each tray on a printer so I can tell which tray to print each document to
