Hi all,

after upgrading the MOSS 2003 to 2007 i have still problem with creating MySite.

1. The users which didn't have MySite page on 2003 they cannot create the MySite page on 2007.

Error: Access Denied.

2. Other users which created MySite on 2003 they can use Mysite page.

3. I gave first users Full Control permissions, but they can't still create MySite page.

4. The first users doesn't have the link to the MySite in the top of the page.

The first users (users with mysite 2003 migrated to 2007)... the migration might have merely moved all the site collections to your

Do you have MySite host configured

Login as the farm administrator and check if are you able to browse

http://yoursite/mysite/_layouts/settings.aspx

then go to "People and Groups" under "Users and Permissions"

check if the group "MySite Visitors" have "second users" included. You might probably want to add all authenticated users to this group and make sure this group has read access to http://yoursite/mysite.

If you get a page not found on

http://yoursite/mysite/_layouts/settings.aspx

then you probably don't have MySite host configured.

Do a search on configuring MySite host.

Thanks for help,

But the problem is not that the second users cannot reach MySite, they cannot create their own MySite pages.

They can't create their own mysite page unless they have access to the MySite site itself. You need to understand the concept behind creating a MySite.

Consider your Site is configured to create mysites under a managed path like below...

http://yoursitename/personal/jsmith this is the mysite for user jsmith (a site collection created by

http://yoursitename/mysite/create.aspx)

So if new users who don't have access to http://yoursitename/mysite/create.aspx can't create their MySite ever. But the old users with MySites already created will be taken to their personal/jsmith directly with out going through MySite.

Hope this helps. And where you able to follow all the steps i mentioned in my previous post If so can you provide the results

Also check this

In Central Admin:

Go to Central Administration > Application Management > Self-service Site Management

Make sure the web application hosting mysite is selected

Make sure "Enable Self-Service Site Creation" is turned on.

Oh, i understood.

I have checked the second users in All people. Everything is Ok.

The second my problem is that i've deleted the Central Administration Panel, and i cannot recreate it.
