Although I think these forums, and the Internet in general contain a wealth of SharePoint information, I'm looking for something I can take home and sit down with in a comfortable chair.

We are starting up a SharePoint project where we are going to link information from a number of 3rd party applications on a SharePoint site, using the Document libraries, Calendar lists etc.

So I'm looking for a book that does not contain a lot of information about the "out of the box" features of SharePoint as we pretty much have that covered. But more, I need something that teach me how to work with SharePoint from behind the scenes so to speak, WebParts, the object model and custom webservices etc.

I have looked over a lot of titles out there, but I am looking for advice, so we get the right books for the Job.

Thanks in advance.
