Hello,

I used STSADM command to backup my portal and restore it on another server, and when i access the new portal and i go to modify the home page, the option "Modify page" of the "Site Action" menu is alwayse disabled, Please tell me what to do to enable this option.

It might be that something/someone else has that page checked out.

To undo checkout, go to Site Action -->Show Page Editing Toolbar. On the editing toolbar click Page --> Override Checkout. Now you should be able to Edit the Page.

If the page is not check out, make sure the permissions did carry over. Go to the admin console and make sure you are listed as the site admin.

Just for clarity. What do you mean the Site Actions menu is disabled Is it not on the page or when you click it nothing happens
