If I catch an "EmailReceived" event, even if the only code I execute is as follows:

Public Overrides Sub EmailReceived(ByVal list As
Microsoft.SharePoint.SPList, ByVal emailMessage As Microsoft.SharePoint.Utilities.SPEmailMessage, ByVal receiverData As String)

MyBase.EmailReceived(list, emailMessage, receiverData)
End Sub

The e-mail message never makes it to the discussion board itself. If I unattach the event, everything works as expected.

Is there a way that I can ensure the message automatically makes it to the discussion board If not, how would I go about adding the e-mail to the board

Thanks in advance,
Mike

I've got it working by attaching a SPD workflow to it, so you can set the workflow to be started for new item being created. It will be the same effect as receiving emails since you get to access all the data including email content and subject , cc field and all. Then you just write a VS custom activity for SPD and deploy it.

I've never seen a single thread or post in the blog saying one can get EmailReceived working. (Well there's a guy saying he can make it work, but didn't tell me how ). So I think we better just live with this workaround now.
