Hi

I have been attempting to install Sharepoint 2007 on a Win 2003 server with a remote SQL 2005 server and cannot get the config wizard to run correctly - the config creates the databases OK but then fails on step two with the error 'SQL server does not exist or access id denied' - I am using a specially created Domian account which has the appropriate slq permissions as specified in the installation document produced by Microsoft - has anyone come accross the same error or suggest a way forward

Thanks

Mr. Rivett,

To be clear, your domain account is has the db_creator, sysadmin, and security admin roles. Is that correct

Thanks for replying Stephen - yes the domain account has the db_creator, sysadmin, and security admin roles - I have double checked this in the SQL server.

Thanks
