Not sure if this is a stupid question - I have published and then activated an administrator-approved form template on my site collection. I can see the template at http://serverStick out tongueort/sites/Forms/default.aspx --> View all Site Content -> Document Libraries -> Form Templates -> my_test_temp. If I double click on the template, a fillable form opens in the browser. I can fill in the form. The issues are:

1. There is no save or save as. I can only see Close | Print View.

2. When I hit "close", the form closes and I don't see the "document" I filled out though. Where is the document/form (not the template) that I filled out That makes me think that I need to go to a different place to "use" the template to create documents/forms. but where thanks.

After you've published an admin-approved form template and activated it, it becomes a content type on the site collection. You then have to add that content type to a new or an existing Form Library by using the Form Library Settings page.

How do I do that:

"You then have to add that content type to a new or an existing Form Library by using the Form Library Settings page"

I created a new form library -- TestFormLib. I can see it under All Site Content -> Document Libraries. I clicked on TestFormLib and then Settings -> Form Library Settings. What do I do here

Click on Advanced settings and enable Allow management of content types and Display as a Web page if the form template is browser-enabled and if you want to force forms to open in the browser when InfoPath is installed on a client. Click OK. Back on the settings page, you will see that a link named Add from existing site content types will have appeared. Click on this link, choose the content type for the form template you previously activated to the site collection from the list, and click OK.

Now when you go to the form library and click on the New button in the menu bar, you will see your content type listed. Use that to fill out a new form.
