Hi all,

I doní»t know if anyone had this problem, but I've noticed that not all of my sites are assuming my masterpage (I've created based on blueband.master). Can you please tell me where can i change this I tried to force them to get my master page but no result.

Thks
Cris

I am having the same problem. The masterpage for the top level site changes. Even though I have the "Reset all subsites to inherit this Site Master Page setting" check box checked, none of the subsites change to the new master page. I am running Moss 2007.

Hi Bob,

Thks for your reply!

I doní»t know if this is the answer...but i "solve" the problem replacing in some sites the sistem master page...for me it was the only way, but i don't know if it is correct.

Cris.

When you see the master page change, does the url contain /_layout/ or something similar If so, these are the application pages found in the 12 hive folder. If you want to change how they look you will need to find the application.master page file in the layout folder (in the 12 hive). I don't think MS support changing the application pages though

I got it to work. The first time around I only changed the master file under "Site Master Page". I didn't also change it by "System Master Page". I mistakenly thought "System Master Page" was for the look & feel of the menu type pages that administrators & content developers see.
