    - Provisioning Pages with custom contenttypes using SiteDefinitions I have been able to use this setting, works fine but according to what I do you should change the value to twice the name of the page: <Module ....> <File Url="default.aspx" Type="GhostableInLibrary" > <Property Name="Title" Value="Hello World" /> <Property Name="PublishingPageLayout" Value="~SiteCollection/_catalogs/masterpage/MyPageLayout.aspx, ~SiteCollection/_catalogs/masterpage/MyPageLayout.aspx" /> <Property Name="ContentType" Value="MyContentType" /> ... </Module> So, the only thing you are missing is that you typed in the name (and not URL) of the page layout as the second value of your property. If I am providing URL from text box like http://secondshptsrv:47341/sites/mysite/documents/01.doc Then through web service located on Sharepoint server, I can easily access the document. But it's not good idea to provide text box to select the document, So we need to provide dialog box. And my problem is dot net dialog box is not returning correct path. Instead of SharePoint server document path, it's returning path from "Temporary Internet Files" folder.     - Setting up meetings in a Sharepoint Calendar Hi Sean That sounds like a custom workflow to me. It's not exactly out of the box, but the platform can support it. When you create a meeting item you could include a field for the list of people you are going to invite. Then you can start a workflow that e-mails each of them. A separate list could be used to track who has accepted/rejected. Look at the workflow design features in SharePoint Designer and Visual Studio. As I said, it will take a bit of effort (days to weeks depending on your level of experience and the amount of functionality you need).     - Unwanted Authentication Prompts Hello all i have an issue with NTLM. I make some .aspx pages from sharepoint designer and publish them over a sharepoint sub site. Now from AAM(alternate access mapping) i add a url for internet and the anonymous access is disable my problem is that when a person go to visit the pages which are created by me its open an NTLM prompt even if the person is already logged in. But it seems that no table cols with data type uniqueidentifier are allowed as a primary key in a BDC file!     - Unknown problem with Content DB Gentlemen, I don't know why you are getting the issue, but every time I have seen this in other forums, the problem was attributed to SQL server instead of SharePoint. In at least one case it seems to have been resolved by (re) installing SQL sp1.     - Error:- Got List Item Version, but item was null Hi, I have created my own Content Type and set workkflow on that. When I create a Pages using this Content Type, approval gets 2 email notifications, one from actual person and other from "System Account". When look at error log I find "Got List Item Version, but item was null" message. Could you please help me to trace out why I am getting 2 emails instead on 1 I guess this problems with "Style Library" access. The First email status shows as " Completed ", but Second email status shows as " Not Started " under Task List. Your help is appriciated.     - disabling fonts within PublishingWebControls:RichHtmlField Hi there, In designing page layouts for a MOSS 2007 publishing site, I need to ensure the font used is one specified by my CSS - i.e. don't allow users entering content to change the font. I thought I'd accomplished this by setting AllowFonts to false within the PublishingWebControls:RichHtmlField's tag properties... but no. When pasting content into this control inline styles can still be applied. I've tried setting other properties to false as well (DisableCustomStyles, AllowTextMarkup, DisableBasicFormattingButtons) to no avail. It's not really acceptable to have to tell users to edit the HTML to remove the styles, or specify that they only type directly into the pop-up 'Edit HTML Source' box which removes formatting on pasting in content - they shouldn't have to be concerned about that.     - Incremental crawl not finding files?? Hi, I have a MOSS farm with incremental crawl scheduled set for every minute all day. It seem to start but it never finds new files. I checked the log and the only time it acutally added files was when i manually started a full crawl... My farm consist of 2 servers that are accessed via a load balancer.     - error with connecting to SQL server 2005 from Sharepoint Designer To follow up, I was able to get this query to work by editing the automatically generated SQL to a custom one. I'm not sure at all if this is the issue as I do not have time to test it, however my assumption is that it had something to do with SharePoint Designer not writing the fully qualified name of the table ( [SalesOrderHeader] instead of [AdventureWorks].[Sales].[SalesOrderHeader] ) . It would have been 100 times more helpful if instead of a generic exception message in the Designer like: The server returned a non-specific error when trying to get the data from the data source. Check the format and content.... That they would have provided something more meaningful. As the title. Should this work

I have a simple Ajax page that works fine standalone, however, in the Page Viewer webpart each request causes a full postback (of my app, not the whole SP page) rather than a background request ala Ajax.

Any thoughts

The Page View webpart is an IFRAME webpart. IFRAME has to reload the page each time, so that is your problem.
