Hello,

I am not sure if this is the right place for this question, if not could you please direct me to where I might get an answer. The problem I have is with project server within sharepoint 2007. The install went fine and I had no errors. I created a Project Web Access site and I can access that with the url and all loks ok. My problem is that when I go to the Manage Queue nohing is getting processed in the queue.

However when I check the service Microsoft Office Project Server Events Service it already started. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

Colm

Hello, IrishKid,

I have the same problem with you. (Unable to start service process. SSP: 5318144e-57dd-4bcf-8148-7864cb4e5186 Service: ProjectQueueService) and (Unable to start service process. SSP: 5318144e-57dd-4bcf-8148-7864cb4e5186 Service: pjevtsvc).

I intalled all programs in one machine. Windows server 2003 + MS SQL Server 2005 + Sharepoint v3.0 + Project Sever 2007, they are all in one machine. In this case, the Sharepoint works well, but the Project always has problem wiht the Queue system.

Someone told me to separate the MS SQL Server 2005 in another machine in the other programs. I tried to make another machine wiht the Sharepoint and Project Server, but in the same Active Directory. It words well with the queue system in Project Server.

Martin,

Would you mind elaborating on how you assigned permission Log on localy to the SharedServiceProvider account. I'm having the same problem but I can't find how to assign permission Log to any account

Thank You.

Cesar.

Martin Winzig

Control Panel>Administrative Tools> Local security policy>Local Policies> User Rights Assignment > Logon localy -and assign this permission to your SSP account

You should also check out policy Deny logon localy Smile

I changed the Log On parameters and found that I did not have the SSP account in the local admin group on the project server. Once I did that and restarted the service, I am GOLDEN!! Thanks Martin.
