Hi,

I have published an InfoPath 2007 form to a form library and then submitted a new form with my data to a document library in sharePoint 2007. So if I go to the document lib I see an xml file with my data inside in xml format.

Now I wrote an SSIS package to download this Infopath XML file (using script) from the Sharepoint Document library, and have put exact location including the data file name & extn (.xml)

Ref: SSIS: Downloading a file over HTTP

http://sqljunkies.com/WebLog/ashvinis/archive/2005/05/25/15653.aspx

But once the SSIS downloads the file, it doesnt download it as Infopath XML Data file, but it downloads an html file and it doesnt contain any data , but it points to the data file (xml file).

Please suggests me a way how to download an Infopath XML file from sharepoint document library using SSIS. I would really appreciate your response.

Regards,

Swati

I've run into the same problem. If i try to download the xml file, the forms server takes over and translates the file.

Is there any way to download the XML I'm trying to grab the files from a remote server.

Look for posts here on programatically uploading documents. From there you can reverse the process to grab the xml document.

Have you tried appending the " noredirect=true" argument to the URL of the form XML document

That's exactly what I needed. I already created a work around, i guess I can remove it now.

I guess you found:

Thanks!

Hey guys,

I was wondering if you guys could help me out. I have no idea what SSIS is. All I need to do is get .xml files out of sharepoint by any means necessary. If SSIS works, like it appears to work for you guys, I would like to look into using it. Unfortunately I can't figure out what it is or how it works.

See my post here: http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowPost.aspx PostID=2009708&SiteID=1

What was your solution, and how do you implement it

Thank you for any help,

Blaine

SSIS = SQL Server Integration Services. It is a component of SQL Server 2005 with which you can transform data.

Have you already taken a look at the link in the post prior to yours It contains a way to do what you want to do. In addition, a while back, I wrote an article on two ways to retrieve InfoPath forms through code: http://enterprise-solutions.swits.net/infopath2007/programmatically-retrieve-infopath-form-from-sharepoint.htm
