Hamez

After developing my workflows with SharePoint Designer 2007 B2TR, I upgraded to SharePoint Designer 2007 RTM. After that and on more than one installation, workflow conditions would not propogate. That is the drop down would appear, but the selected condition would not appear on the workflow designer.

Repair install of all components, Asp.Net 2.0, 3.0, and SPD didnot fix it. And to make matters worse, attempts to roll back to B2TR failed with "Cannot install over pre-release version" error, even though I unistalled RTM both with the installer, and manually deleting from the drive and registry.

Has anyone else seen this problem I am stuck in the middle of a project using an old laptop with the B2TR bits to complete the workflows.

Phil Allen - MSFT

David, Hamez,

This will occur for a subset of users who used Beta2 or Beta2 Technical Refresh and then upgraded to RTM of SharePoint Designer. Due to some changes made in the way that SPD handles conditions, you will need to clear the proxy assembly cache on your machine in order to allow this to work.

Steps for doing so:

1.Close SharePoint Designer

2.Please navigate to these directories:

%UserProfile%\local settings\application data\microsoft\websitecache
And
%UserProfile%\application data\microsoft\sharepoint designer\proxyassemblycache

3.Delete all files from both directories.

4.Boot SPD.

Note: The paths are slightly different on Vista.

At this point, SPD should be able to properly handle authoring conditions.

Thanks,
Phil Allen
