We're rapidly running out of space on our sharepoint drive.

Now I'm a bit confused to how sharepoint 2007 stores its info. I see a variety of info describing MSDE etc, but as far as I'm aware sharepoint is using the SQL Server 2005 installation on the same server.

The migration steps I've seen only describe using MSDE (e.g. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/843580/en-us), can anyone point me in the right direction to allow me to move the content to another drive.

I would presume this would mean pointing SQL Server 2005 to filesets on a different drive, but I'm a bit stuck as to how to go about it.

Thanks.

Hi,

I asume you have installed SQL Server 2005 as database server for your MOSS 2007.

You can detach a database with SQL Management Studio, move the files and re-attach the database.

hope this helps
