Hi,

I have been told I need to move the navigation bar to the right side of all of the pages. I am assuming I need to modify a master page in SharePoint designer to pull this off Is it as easy as just clicking and dragging Or more involved

Is anyone aware of any master pages that have this available for download Or any other ideas/suggestions

Bob

I don't know if there are anything available to download, but you can customise the default.master.

Which navigation area do you want to move

If it is the top navigation, you could probably do this relatively easily with a style and wrapping a container if necessary. You might want to move the Site Actions button.

If it is the left quick launch that you want to appear in a column on the right it may be a little trickier. The default master page layout is structured using a table, and if I remember correctly there are about five columns. One for the left navigation, one for the body content and three purely for spacing, edges and graphics. While you could pick up all the html for the navigation column and place it as the last column, your graphics columns might need some rework to make them look correct. You might be able to get away with moving the first two columns to the end, but you'll notice that the joins in the background won't line up.

If you want complete control over your layout (or if moving the columns doesn't work for you), you could consider making your own master page based on the mininal master recommended page on MSDN.

Thanks Andy. Actually I found a master page I could download off of Microsoft's website. It has the navigation on the right, instead of the left.
