I keep getting on all web applications.
Server Error in '/' Application.
For the 32bit setup, look in your temp directory. There should be a sharepoint log in there. Does it tell you what the error is
[If you can't find the log, what are the contents of your temp directory ]

I did not do a clean install of longhorn, but instead did an in-place upgrade from a 2003 Server box that we installed Sharepoint 2007 on. It seems to be doing just fine.
It says:
Uninstall the following programs:
Windows SharePoint Services ![]()

Do you have an older version of WSS installed You'll need to uninstall WSS version 2 (or 1) before you can upgrade to Longhorn.

It is not enough unistall. Manual clearing of the registry was required.

Can you translate that link What part of the registry did you have to clear
check of compatibility went obstinate until then yet delete from the registry all mentions of a word "Sharepoint" (down to ocurrences in lists of any counters and helps)
Sorry english of google translator ![]()
Anyone else have any bright ideas on this upgrade issue I removed Microsoft Sharepoint from Add/Remove programs, I edited the registry and manually removed anything and everything that had the word 'Sharepoint', I rebooted and still it says I have Sharepoint installed! Do I have to manually delete websites that were using the sharepoint extensions What is the use of an upgrade feature if you have to uninstall everything
Brian & others,
Assuming you're all talking about MOSS 2007, we do not support installing MOSS 2007 on Longhorn Server/Windows Server 2008 yet.
Thanks,
Umesh
we are running a test lab with X64 Longhorn RC0 build on AMD
will sharepoint 2007 install on this now if not are you planning any type of workaround before 02/2008 Release date
if not can we setup a virtual server on the longhorn box running Win2003 Server and install sharepoint inside the VM.
