Hello

I should do the security trimming in a MOSS 2007 Farm.

I downloaded the the MBSA (Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer). Do you know if there's a special template for MOSS2007 or can I use the same role as for the SPS 2003 Server, specified under the name SharePoint Portal Server.

I already know the "25 Tips to Lockdown Your SharePoint Environment" from Joel Oleson (http://blogs.msdn.com/joelo/archive/2007/02/03/25-tips-to-lockdown-your-sharepoint-environment.aspx)

Thanks for your Input,

Juerg

Juerg - you cannot use the SPS 2003 role of MBSA with MOSS 2007 because there are additional services and ports used by MOSS 2007 than what existed in SPS 2003.

Joel Oleson's tips and our Technet documentation on securing SharePoint is your best bet for this.
