Hi,

I have copied SharePoint.Search.dll in bin folder of the web application and added few keys in the appsettings of the web.config file and web config as WSS_Medium setting. My website work fine from the system, where users have access right to website. But, when anonymous user try to access website, it prompt for authentication. I have added the IUSR_<system> and set the anonymous browsing. It was working fine before adding dlls and appsettings.

I also try using custom web.config file with full sharepoint permission. It didn't work.

Is there any way stop asking for authentication for internet users

This is not guaranteed to work, but you could try moving it to the GAC (Windows\Assembly)

In your code you may need to use the SPSecurity.RunWithElevatedPriviledges, it depends on what you are doing.

Good Luck

You may also want to try assembly:AllowPartiallyTrustedCallers

In my code, i am using "SPFolderCollection folders = srcSite.Folders["Shared Documents"].SubFolders;". While executing this statement, it is prompting for user to enter username and password. It means application running with user doesn't have file permission access. Which is the best way to fix problem. Is it through code or giving permission externally
