I was wondering if web parts (say a content editor part containing news items) can be set to expire and self delete after a preset period of time.

Any help would be appreciated - am using SPS 2003 / WSS 2.0

Thanks

This sounds interesting. It might be possible to use the object model and create a custom webpart that will delete itself on a specified date typed into the task pane. I would poke around Google and MSDN.

Thanks for the reply - sorry if this is a basic question but I am very much still getting to grips with this...

What do you mean by the object model I assume it is a web part building app

Thanks

It is all the objects in programming used for Sharepoint, such as SPList, SPSite, etc... It's ok I can see where it would be confusing.
