I picked up a copy of the Microsoft Office Sharepoint Server 2007 book. Within the first chapter it talks about a Corporate Intranet site template that is now avaliable for Sharepoint Server 2007. Does anybody have any idea where this template can be located and downloaded Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The template referred to is not called Corporate Intranet site template in Sharepoint under the Publishing tab when you create a site collections it is called Collaboration Site

The Administrator's Companion (which I presume is the book you have) came out very soon after the product was released which means that it was written when the product wasn't yet out (and was thus written on the basis of the Betas).

I know the people who wrote the book's content made strenuous efforts to check it and correct it once the product was released but they were bound to miss a few of the changes Microsoft made between the beta versions and the final release version.

I presume this is one of them.

The clue by the way to the template they mention in the book being one *inside* the product itself is that the "Fab 40" Application Templates became first available only *after* the Book was published (and there were no beta versions of them).
