How do i set/enable async pages on SharePoint 2007. Whats the setting in web.config for enabling it globally on sharepoint site.

I believe that you cannot enable a SharePoint aspx page to be Async. the best you can do is create Async Web Parts that use a worker class and the Page.RegisterAsyncTask in the Web Part to register the tasks and then call them using page.ExecuteRegisteredAsyncTasks().

Sure he is saying the same as me. The controls on the page can be async, but i'm sure the aspx page cannot be. In a standard aspx page, you can specify that the page is async in the page directive. That is not the case on SharePoint pages. So I doubt it can be done in the Web.Config.
I haven't explored it fully, so reserve the right to be corrected! Hopefully somebody might correct me. Otherwise, all we can do is develop Async Web Parts.
