    - "Input string was not in a correct format" error when creating SPSite object I am using Windows SharePoint Services 2.0 on Windows Server 2003, using Visual Studio 2005, .NET 2. I'm trying to open an SPSite but am getting the message "Input string was not in a correct format". You can see in the Page_Load that I've tried the input string 2 ways, both unsuccessful.     - Remove Treeview images? I would like to remove the images in the treeview menu, not the plus/minus signs but the other icons representing websites and document libraries etc. Does anyone know if this is possible and how to do this Please don't tell me I'm stuck with them.     - AlternateHeaderURL AlternateCSSUrl in upgrade definition file Our current WSS 2.0 site used AlternateCSS and AlternateHeader. The new WSS 3.0 sites won't be using them. I've created the upgrade definition file and the sites do get upgraded successfully, but they are still using the old AlternateCSS and AlternateHeader entries. How do I configure the upgrade definition file to set AlternateCSS="" and AlternateHeader="". I have set these to "" in the 3.0 site definitions project element (onet.xml) but after the upgrade they are still being used. The upgrade log has the following lines: No url mapping provided for AlternateCSSUrl No url mapping provided for AlternateHeaderUrl I couldn't see anything for the upgrade definition schema that allows for this: http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms412955.aspx I could scrub the DB and set the webs.AlternateHeaderURL/AlternateCSSUrl values to NULL in the DB after the upgrade runs, but I prefer to have this happen during the upgrade process and not have to modify the DB directly. We had a dead harddrive in our server and we rebuilt the server and installed sharepoint services 1 again, but found that database hadn't been backed up to a .bak or fwp file so all we have is a backup in .mdf format or sql format Had goes on trying to import old sharepoint database to new database or renaming old database as the new one with no luck.     - Open Behavior Rules in InfoPath Hi, I have an InfoPath form which is published in MOSS. When I submit it, I save these values into a database. Is there a way to fetch those values from the database and display those values in the controls(by applying a rule or soemthing) I understand that if I save it in an xml file, it will open with the values in the saved file. There is another source which accesses the same data. So, if the data gets changed from the other source, I would still get the correct data, if I fetch directly from the database. I have configured an "Open behavior rule" to fetch data through a data connection. Now, how do I set those values from the data connection to those controls Another rule Would really appreciate any kind of help. Although I don't have a fantastic solution for you at this time, let me at least make you did the minimal steps for deleting a content type within a list. After modifying all documents within the document library to not use the content type, did you verify that the existing content type you want to delete is not the default content type Also, once that has been changed, have you tried to disable content type management Just some food for thought.     - Office Access 2007 'move to Sharepoint' problem Hi We have an Access 2007 db. We are trying to use the 'move to Sharepoint' wizard to move the db to a MOSS 2007 site. We get an error message after specifying the site and clicking 'next': "The site you specified does not support importing data from a Microsoft Office Access database. The site must be running Windows Sharepoint Services from Microsoft" At this point all we can do is cancel the wizard.     - Content rollup for tasks Hi ! There are several content rollup webparts, but I can't find anyone for rolling up tasks. tasklists may be spread out over a lot of sites, and if I want to display all tasks assigned to me, a content rollup for tasks would be needed. For a personal site, a content query webpart, which could be an alternative, is not shown, possibly not usable ( ! !), and anyway, can't see how that can be personalized.     - How do I set up security on individual sites I have one application under which I have three different sites. I would like to set security so only certain people can see certain sites . I am sure this is probably simple, but I must have a huge brain cramp. Right now everyone can see everyone. I have created groups, created users but no where can I see where to allow UserA only to SiteA and userB to SIteB. There has got to be a way!! Thanks.     - Custom webpart.. rounded corners Hey all.. I'm a graphic designer.. i make pretty pictures.. i've been thrown into the sharepoint deep end and i need some help. I've been searching around for a solution to a design mockup that we need to cut up and convert to sharepoint. The problem is rounded corners on webparts. Our client has this thing about rounded corners.. it's part of their brand image.. so we added rounded corners to the webparts on our mockup.     - Incorrect display name We have a user whose display name in SharePoint (MOSS 2007) is coming up incorrectly. The last character of his last name is being dropped. I've gone through all the settings on his account in AD and verified that the last name is spelled correctly, and even looked at all the attributes of this user in ADSI Edit to make sure there wasn't some reference to the incorrect spelling. I've tried removing the user's rights from SharePoint, changing the user's AD display name to something that's purposely wrong, and then re-adding him to SharePoint. However, it continues to show the same, incorrect display name (and never the new, incorrect one). What's strange is that this user was also displayed incorrectly on our old SPS2003 server. I created a new SharePoint 2007 environment (no upgrade) and once again I'm seeing the same behavior. I assume that it's pulling the misspelling from AD, but where I've seen references to some utilities such as wssuserutil, but I'm not clear if that's compatible with MOSS 2007 or if it would help me in this situation anyway. You can however for free utilize Windows Sharepoint Services 3.0.     - Troubleshooting "This Web Part Page has been modified since you opened it" error with load balancing working I am troubleshooting an error message that occurs on a Load Balanced MOSS 2007 site, "This Web Part Page has been modified since you opened it". I have read the KB Article http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/892348 and verified the settings are correct. I receive the error even when the IIS logs show that I only reached one of the two front end web servers. We have not determined steps that cause the error every time, but it ocurrs occasionally under the following scenario.     - Sharepoint calendar on 1024x768 resolution The Sharepoint 3.0 calendar on our home page when viewed in resolutions 1024x768 or below does not fit on the page. It breaks the tables and puts a scroll bar at the bottom. This is not functional! We've searched for an answer and tried several fixes. If we change the width of the web part it adds a scroll bar at the bottom of the calendar. Any suggestions appreciated.     - task list can be submitted although mandatory fields are not filled in I am working in MOSS 2007 and SPD 2007. I have created a workflow in SPD that involves a task list item. This task list item has a mandatory choice field. Unfortunately MOSS does not check if the field has been filled in by the user. The user can click "Complete Task" and the task will be completed although the mandatory field is still empty. The web form shows an asterix * behind the mandatory field and it looks all as if it should work. However it doesn't. Does anyone have an idea how to get arround this Thanks.     - Never could get that DataView connection to SQL Server to work..... thanks for reply, I will try youir steps when I have a chance but for the time being I found SSO way too fiddly, and as you pointed out there is a lack of info from SharePoint when configuring, no way to know if I had gotten it right or where I went wrong. Based on feedback in another post I set my SQL backend to use mixed auth and now have the data view web part working with a SQL login.     - Workflow modification form I have found the problem, and it's simple... It's an upper case lower case problem. When i generate a GUID with visual studio GUID generator i get an UPPER CASE GUID. I paste this in workflow.xml, so the workflow.xml has an upper case version of my GUID. Then i paste the GUID in the modificationID property of my onworkflowmodified and enableworkflowmodification. What Visual studio automatically does is make the ModificationID lowercase. So i guess because the workflow doesn't find an correlating formID it doesent show the modification link.
