No changes required.

Is the A/V port on the 360 analog video only Since no code changes are required, does that mean MS could feasibly release an A/V cable for current owners that'll obviously have on one end the the proprietary connection, but terminated to an HDMI connector on the other

I've wondered if MS hasn't released such a cable for reasons that the proprietary output isn't capable of 100% digital video & audio output or there's some sort of disagreement between MS and the standard in so far as not allowing the 'hybrid' cable that so many of would buy were it available.

Doesn't really sound like a confirmation of HDMI to me, just a confirmation that HDMI and any other transports could be utilized within the XNA framework without changes to the underlying code.

Not that I am not hoping for HDMI personally, but I think this post is being blown way out of proportion. I would think that eventually somewhere down the line the 360 would have HDMI AND the only changes would need to be within the framework not the end client code, which after reading the post above has me believe.

I doubt you (we) will find answers here

Of course, if there were no revised 360 or a revised 360 with no HDMI output, that wouldn't require any code changes either...
