Hello,

So, I have VS 2005 with the Team Project used with codeplex.com
However VS2005 can not load Windows Game Application

So Anyone got an idea on how to use codeplex with XNA and C# Express

Regards,
Chryso

The quick answer is, you can't. I have seen some posts about people posting up their XNA code through the non-express VS2005 but it looked like too much of a hassle so I didn't pursue it.

You can make c# projects and reference the XNA DLLs just like you would reference any other things. However the content pipeline add-ins and the deploy to xbox add-ins only work in c# express.

I have created parallel projects with identical content one for express and one for pro so tht I can use pro for editing and the pro tools. You could do the same with codeplex. If I need to push to xbox or rebuild content I switch to the c# project and rebuild there. However none of this is officially supported of course.

I'm using this project http://www.codeplex.com/Turtle which is propably dead, but for me Turle is working with XNA. You can also use command line tools (I try, but there is not too many information how to do this).

If you want to try using command lines to do the content pipeline stuff check out this http://www.codeplex.com/xnadevru/Wiki/View.aspx title=XNA%20Content%20Builder%20%28XCB%29

One of the restrictions on the Express products is that they do not have the source control plugins like the larger products, but to use codeplex with the express systems I would suggest using the Team Explorer Client.
