    - please help Using my psychic powers, I believe the original poster is trying to cross-debug from Windows to Xbox 360. When trying to start the program, the 360 apparently does not answer, and the IDE will generate an error about that fact. Make sure that you're signed in to the creator's club, have set up the Xbox to listen for PC connections, have added the right IP address, etc. I think there might even be an Xbox remote debugging trouble-shooter document in the help file which you might want to read. (Press F1, then use Search to find the right document). But, in general, a request for help should have the following: 1) A title that describes what the problem is. For example: "Can't debug project on 360" 2) A short description of what you want to do. For example "I'm trying to start a project I've built in XNA game studio express onto the 360, but it doesn't work." 3) A thorough description of what you expect should happen, and what actually happens, including writing the text of any error message. This is not optional. 4) A short description of what you have tried already. For example "I don't know what to try, as I don't know what help file to read." 5) Correct grammar and spelling is helpful, but not totally necessary if you already have points 1 through 4 down.     - texture moving on a vertext shader Hello Noobie question here for you. I'm copying the example from the help files in GSE (the example titled: How to create custom texture effects), and have managed to successfully port the cube into my game world (which is a hacked version of the top-down spaceship example that is right at the begining of the help files). I have changed the spaceship example to always keep the spaceship in the middle of the screen, so I can fly around asteroids that I have put into the game, and I've also managed to set a boundary to stop the spaceship flying off in one direction for ever. Now I want to adapt the custom texture effects code to stay in one place while my spaceship flies around it. I did this by updating the custom texture effect "world-view-projection" data with the view of the spaceship during the draw() function. This makes the cube stay in one place, but the texture on the cube moves with the spaceship. What I think is happening is that the tex2D part of the code is using the spaceship view to position the texture on the cube. So when the spaceship moves the texture moves around on the cube.     - Pixel Shader 1.1 Hi, that's true only if you live in USA or in another developed country, in underdeveloped countries like Brazil or Colombia or really in any latinamerican country the most of the people don't have access to obtain a video card with this 'minimal requeriments' and if they can obtan it sure they don't have the money to pay it. I'm from Colombia, i'm lucky and i have the money and the access for this kind of technologies but the most of mi friends don't have it. I remembered my dissapointment wheh i did try to run one of my xna games in one of my friends pc's... I believe that a big point would be that in future XNA releases the runtime and frameworks include support to low levels video card or at least support to run using Reference Rasterizer in a low profile video card. What I mean with that statement is that you should start playing with anything that revolves around your topic of interest. What resolution is your game running at What resolution is your Xbox display output set to What is the native resolution of your TV Depending on the above answers, there could be all kinds of different video scaling going on, perhaps inside the Xbox or maybe also inside the TV. Depending on the details, this could easily cause the results you are seeing. The Xbox video scaler is very high quality, but I doubt it can be relied on to exactly preserve the brightness of a single-pixel thick line (that's not really a common case for video signals, so probably not what they tweaked it for) and if the TV is doing any scaling internally, things are all over the shop in terms of how good different TVs are at that. Now it says my driver file is very and require to update, but i am unable to update.
