Hello all,

I've been really interested in XNA for a while now and today it's finally released! However... Since I don't have a credit card (and I don't intend to get one) it seems I won't be able to buy it!

So obviously my question is, is there any other payment methods besides credit card (ex: Microsoft points ^^)

Thanks.

Hi Justin, Currently memberships over Xbox Live are not available using Microsoft Points. We may look into other ways of purchasing the XNA Creators Club memberships in the future but currently you must have a credit card to do so.

You could maybe find someone you know who has a card, get them to buy this, then pay them back some other way

Hi I had a question about the way to share games with friends.

"Q: How can I share my Xbox 360 game built with XNA Game Studio Express with other Xbox 360 users

A: To share your Xbox 360 game with friends, four requirements must be met:
  • The individual you are planning to share the game with must be logged in to Xbox Live and have an active subscription to the XNA Creators Club
  • The receiving user must have downloaded the XNA Framework runtime environment for the Xbox 360
  • The receiving user must have XNA Game Studio Express installed on their own development PC
  • The game project, including all source and content assets, must be shared with the receiving user. The receiving user then compiles and deploys the game to their Xbox 360. "
My bro pays for his and my account, so they are both under his name and stuff, so does that mean if he makes a game and I wanted to play it We would both require a Membership, there for making him pay $200 a year so I can play something he makes

To me it should be pay to make the game ppl should not have to pay $100 year to play a friends game. If anyone could help me on this it would be nice.

The current implementation is not permanent, at least from what I've seen the XNA team say. The current implementation is what could be done given the time frame that they had and the need to make sure security was ensured. Patience young Padawan, and all shall be revealed in time.

Why not try a Visa Gift Card You can get them at most banks and many malls have them too.

Hi Justin - Why don't you get a Debit Card from your bank They act just like credit cards but whether you do a charge or debit it comes directly out of your bank account and no interest is added. It will probably have a Visa logo on it but don't worry, it isn't like a regular credit card.
