How do I add marker events to a wav file Could I do that in an audio editing program such as ACID In Acid, I know you can add markers to the tracks. Are these the same kind of markers that XACT recognizes.

XACT doesn't currently support importing of markers. To set markers, you need to add them in XACT in the track window. Right click on a track and select "add event" and then select "marker" event. You can set marker events to recur, (for example once every measure)

"You can set marker events to recur, (for example once every measure)"

apparently this functionality is broken - according to the notes on the DirectX SDK release February 2007...

I REALLY wish this did work though...

Download details: DirectX SDK - (February 2007)

In the February 2007 SDK, the beats per minute (BPM) parameter for pitch, volume, and marker events in XACT is broken. Do not set this parameter. ...

Any body actually got this working yet

when I try to set a BPM of say 133.25 as my Repeat Frequency - I get a INVALID PARAMETER message...

although 133 does not do this same thing... I am still to get the code together to test it...

cheers.
