Not sure what your goal is, if you want to transfer game saves to pc, there is the Datel Xbox 360 / Xbox Transfer Kit

Nyko makes something that supposely let you attach USB devices to 360: Nyko Xbox 360 USB Multitap & Card Reader

Zune suppose to show up as a storage as well. I don't have any of the above, so can't vouch for how well they work.

If you want direct access to USB (i.e. to control your Roomba or whatever), then there isn't an api for that (yet ). It would be cool to be able to access your own USB hardware.

Hmm so does that mean you can't even read external drives from XNA games I know about the games save stuff and thats not my goal with this.

Correct, you cannot read external drives from XNA games.
