When working with streaming buffers, it seems that the modus operandi is to trigger a waiting thread at regular intervals throughout the (looping) sound buffer, the thread then adds an additional chunk of new buffer data to the streaming buffer.  The examples I've been studying never adress the length of the notification interval. On what basis does one select this length For example, one example I'm currently trying to figure out simply sets the notification interval to "160"...the thread is notified every time the 160th element in the buffer is reached. Is there some sort of rule of thumb for determining this value
